Poinsettia and the Firefighters, by Felicia Bond. When Poinsettia the Pig is awoke by strange noises in the night, she is frightened and can not sleep. But once she discovers one of the noises is a fire out in her neighborhood and she calls the fire department. The firefighters respond quickly and put out the fire. Afterwards, they meet Poinsettia and thank her for her quick reaction in calling the fire department. Once Poinsettia realizes she is always protected by her local firefighters, she is able to sleep without being afraid of sounds in the night. Hardcover Book. Recommended for ages 4 to 8 years.
