Coin – Boston Fire Marine Unit 1and 2. The Boston Fire Marie Operations protects the Boston Harbor, as well as the outer island and adjacent river. Boston Fire Marine Unit 1 is named after the former Chief Engineer of Boston Fire Department, John s. Damrell. He also battled Boston’s Great Fire of 1872. Marine Unit 2 is dedicated to long time Boston Fire Chaplain, Father Daniel Mahoney, who was affectionately known to all in the department as Father Dan. This collectable challenge coin features each vessel (one on each coin side) with red, white, green and yellow details. Coin edged is finished with a rope edge. Approximately 2″.
