After 34 years, it is with great sadness that we announce the closing of our West Dennis Store. WE WILL CONTINUE TO SERVICE OUR CUSTOMERS ONLINE ( OUR WEB STORE WILL BE OPEN 24/7 AS ALWAYS) AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE BOOTHS AT FIRE MUSTERS AND OTHER SHOWS! Operating cost and travel cost have made it difficult to keep the physical store operational, so we have made the difficult decision to service our customers online only.

We thank all of the many families and friends that have made a trip to The Fire Bell part of your vacation tradition. We will miss seeing your faces and chatting, but we hope you continue to visit us online and at the fire muster shows.

We have a selection of Ashton Models that are not yet available on our website. Serious collectors are welcome to email us with an “Ashton Wish List”, and we will let you know if the models you are looking for are still available from our stock.

It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to John C. Cuneo, beloved firefighter, father, grandfather, friend and founder of The Fire Bell. John (a.k.a Jack) served his community well as a Marine in the Korean War and provided 40 years of Fire Service, ending his long fire career as Deputy Chief of the Tewksbury Fire Department.

Being an avid fire collector himself, Jack “retired” to Cape Cod, where he opened The Fire Bell Gift and Collectable Shop. For the past 32+ years, he has spread his knowledge and enthusiasm for fire collecting with visitors that came to the shop from all over the world. Although he worked full time through his entire “retirement”, he loved every minute of it, creating lifelong friendships with the loyal customers he met throughout the years.

The firefighting community has been like a second family to us here at The Fire Bell, offering friendship and support whenever it was needed. The loving response to Jack’s passing from the firefighting community has been overwhelming during this difficult time. For this, and for the patronage of all of our loyal customers, on behalf of my father, Jack, and myself, I extend my eternally gratitude.

As Jack’s daughter, I will try to live up to his high standard of service for our customers moving forward, and will announce regular store hours for the summer season soon, but as always, our website is available 24/7 for your online shopping convenience.

If you place an oversized order, meaning many items that will require multiple shipping boxes or an oversized shipping box, you may be subject to an additional shipping fee besides the flat shipping rate. If this occurs, you will be notified by email before you are charged, so you will have opportunity to decline the extra charge and edit your order accordingly.

Please note that all INTERNATIONAL ORDERS have to be weighed in order to get a proper shipping cost. You will receive an email in a timely fashion with the cost to ship your items for your approval before you are charged. Thank You!
